‘Twas the holiday season at Arabian Nights.
Our performers were putting on costumes and tights,
Our horses were decked out in bridles with bells,
And from our kitchens came delicious smells.
But amidst all this goodness, we thought to our selves
That we now had the chance to mimic Santa’s elves.
Our stockings are full here, we really feel blessed.
But we’d feel better still if we gave to the rest

Of the boys and the girls in our community
Who don’t get so many gifts under the tree.
We’d like to help make their holidays brighter.
‘Cause giving makes everyone’s hearts feel much lighter!

So we ask you, please help us spread holiday cheer
And a sense of goodwill that’ll last a whole year.
If you’re coming to see us, please bring one unwrapped toy
Which could mean a great deal to some sweet girl or boy

And as a big “thank you” for helping us out
We’d like to offer you a ticket discount.
We’ll drop a few bucks from your ticket – like 20!
You’ll be giving back and you’ll be saving some money.

Please come out and see our new holiday show,
With Sugar Plum Fairies, and horses, and snow,
And Santa will be there out under the lights
Wishing Happy Holidays from Arabian Nights!

For every new, unwrapped toy that you bring to Arabian Nights between now at December 23rd, we’ll take $20 off your full-priced adult ticket. All toys will go the Baby DJ Toy Drive, which gives to families in need throughout Central Florida. Please call for reservations and details at 407-239-9223.

Arabian Nights' staff decorated a tree for Give Kids the World this year. We love participating in our community and giving back!

‘Tis the Season

The Arabian Nights Blog, which has been languishing here, is being “rebooted!” We’ll have new monthly features, new content, and yes, a new blogger. I’m Gina, and I’m new to Arabian Nights, new to horses, and new to the Orlando area. Watch this sites for updates as I learn about the company, about horses, and my coworkers. Some things that won’t change:

  • Our “Day in the Life” series. Want to suggest an Arabian Nights employee for this series, or want to be spotlighted yourself? Let me know in the comments.
  • Our Horse Profiles. With over 50 horses living in Arabian Nights’ stables, there are dozens of equine stars patiently waiting their turn to be profiled.

Some new features we’ll be starting soon:

  • Our “Ask the Expert” series. Arabian Nights’ owner and CEO Mark Miller has lived around horses his entire life. Got a question about the care, training, or management of horses? If Mark doesn’t know the answer, he’ll find someone who does. Each month, I’ll be choosing a new question from the comments, or from twitter, so get those queries rolling in.
  • A series that profiles the hard working performers in our show. Our riders and actors will share their “insider favorites” with the readership. Want to know which horse is the sweetest, which costume is the cutest, and which act is the most fun to perform? Keep watching this space to find out!
  • An Arabian Nights History series. Part of my job is to digitize the extensive hard-copy backload of Arabian Nights memorabilia. With over twenty years of photos, posters, programs, letters, Beta-max videos (yes, seriously), and awards, I learn something new about this place every day that I show up in the office. This series will allow me a chance to share with you the amazing stories that have made Arabian Nights what it is today.

But first, I’d love to know more about this blog’s long-time readers. What brings you here? What have you liked, and what would you like to see? Next week, it will be my turn to share, but for now, let me know what you’d like to see in this space. (Hint: we have horses. Lots and lots of truly gorgeous horses.)

Since it’s opening in 1988, a goal of Arabian Nights Dinner Attraction has been to showcase the powerful bond between people and horses. This year the company is doing that in new ways by harnessing the influence of the Internet to connect with fans and business partners all over the world.

In the era of social media, Arabian Nights is finding new ways to engage fans online with horse trivia, behind-the-scenes video and exclusive promotions. Arabian Nights is also using social media to keep fans and business partners updated with the latest products and services offered through an official blog and e-newsletter.

Through the Arabian Nights website www.Arabian-Nights.com visitors can choose to sign up for the official e-newsletter, a monthly digital publication filled with the latest happenings and a featured discount that can be redeemed online. The latest e-newsletter gave readers a chance to test the new Arabian Nights pre-show before it opened to the public in March.

The Official Arabian Nights blog is also available through both the Arabian Nights website and Facebook page, with behind the scenes updates, features on the daily lives of staff members and profiles of favorite horse stars. The blog can be found directly at http://blog.arabian-nights.com/.

For fans who need a more daily Arabian Nights fix, they can find it on Facebook by liking ArabianNightsFL and on Twitter by following @arabiannightsfl. Both are excellent ways to stay updated about new show times and featured events, as well as providing fun horse trivia, behind the scenes photos and video and special contests.

Arabian Nights is also currently producing a series of video blogs to showcase the daily lives and activities of the horses and performers featured in the nightly production that can be found on the Arabian Nights YouTube Channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/arabiannightsfl.

Additionally, many resources that are currently only available through the Group Sales department, including updated descriptions of the show and new photos, will also be available for download on the Arabian Nights website for tour operators and media members.

Through these online resources and social media pages, Arabian Nights is able to keep fans and future visitors updated and engaged with the horses and staff of Arabian Nights, with new features and exciting updates released first through these outlets.
