Kissimmee, FL- Arabian Nights Dinner Attraction has offered guests a unique way to ring in the New Year for several years, but this year the festivities have been revamped to provide more fun for the entire family.

Doors open at 8:30 pm for general admission guests, with a live DJ and pre-show appetizer buffet to get everyone in the mood to ring in the New Year. Roaming atmosphere entertainers and drink specials will also put guests in a festive mood.

Guests who upgrade to the VIP Experience for $15 per person will enjoy early admission at 8:15pm, priority seating in the first three rows, a specialty New Year’s Eve Drink in a souvenir glass, exclusive entry to the VIP lounge with hors d’oeuvres and a private pre-show opportunity to meet the horses and performers.

After enjoying the pre-show festivities, all guests join Princess Scheherazade, Prince Khalid and Hocus Pocus in a special 10 pm performance of the Arabian Nights Holiday Show.

During the performance, guests join Princess Scheherazade as her husband, Prince Khalid is called away shortly before Christmas. The always-faithful genie Hocus Pocus invites a new friend, Santa Claus, to come distract Scheherazade with gifts and good cheer until Khalid returns.

The genie Hocus Pocus and Santa Claus bring Toy Soldiers, Gingerbread Men, Acrobatic Elves and Sugarplum Fairies to life before the guests’ eyes in a variety of horse-related acts. The spectacular Jack Frost aerial act will also return this year. This act features a talented acrobat who takes to the air from the back of a moving horse to perform an acrobatic routine while suspended from silk cords.

During the fabulous show, guests will also enjoy a choice of sirloin steak, Black Angus chopped steak with gravy, pork loin with marsala sauce, grilled chicken breast, chicken tenders or Vegetarian lasagna as their entree and either Oreo fudge brownie or New York style cheesecake for dessert. All entrees also come with salad, unlimited Busch beer, house wine and soda.

The fun doesn’t end at the conclusion of the show though, as guests count down to the New Year in the Palace of Horses with live entertainment and prizes galore. A Champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight round out the events of the evening.

Reservations are required for this special event. Packages for the New Year’s Eve Celebration begin at $160.00 per couple, or $84.00 per adult and $60.00 per child. Prepaid general admission, VIP and Kosher tickets can be upgraded to the New Year’s Eve package for special rates. For more information call 800-553-6116.

Did you know that the owner of Arabian Nights, Mark Miller, also co-founded The Black Stallion Literacy Foundation? That’s right, he did with Tim Farley, author Walter Farley’s son. The Black Stallion Literacy Foundation is based on the classic books of Walter Farley and the natural connection between children and horses. Conceived in 1999, BSLF began serving children in 2000 and since then, more than 400,000 children across the United States have participated in BSLF’s reading programs.  BSLF is presently composed of both school-based and community programs, in which activities are developed around Walter Farley’s classic books. School-based programs consist of curriculum-based literacy programs for 1st and 4th-5th grades. Community programs are similarly curriculum-based literacy programs, but are turnkey embedded programs for after-school and summer camp programs.

Since its inception in 1999, BSLF has grown from fewer than 5,000 students participating in Florida and Arizona in 2000, to reaching over 66,720 students in the ten states across the nation. It also received recognition as a “Daily Point of Light” by President George W. Bush and has been featured on ABC Nightly News as the “best” motivational reading program for school-aged children. This is just the beginning of the list! BSLF is truly a one-of-a-kind program that sparks the imagination of children and shows them the joy in reading.

At Arabian Nights we take great pride in every aspect of the guests’ experience with us and we wanted to clear some things up. We’ve noticed in our online reviews that many people have questions regarding our food preparations and ingredients , so we thought we’d take this opportunity to share this information with you.

All of the meals served at Arabian Nights are prepared fresh daily in our onsite kitchen by a team of foodservice professionals. The food is then plated in preparation kitchens on either side of our arena and served to guests as orders are received.  We offer six entrée choices and two desserts. The desserts are provided fresh from a local bakery and are stored in a refrigerator before being served.

Many of our questions about the food is about specific entrees or their preparation, we would like to alleviate any confusion by describing each option and how it is prepared.

Sirloin Steak- This has just been upgraded to an 8 oz cut. It is marinated, grilled and served medium- well.

Chopped Steak- A Certified Black Angus ground beef patty, grilled, then served with brown gravy, well done.

Pork Loin- A 7 oz cut with seasoning, oven-cooked and served with Marsala sauce and mushrooms.

Grilled Chicken breast- a 7 oz, no filler added chicken breast, marinated, grilled and served with red pepper garnish.

Vegetable Lasagna- An Alfredo- based lasagna with mushrooms, tomatoes, broccoli and cheese, with breadcrumb topping, served with steamed broccoli on the side.

Fried Chicken tenders- All white meat chicken tenders, breaded with Panko (Japanese bread crumbs) and deep fried. Served with macaroni and cheese.

Mashed Potatoes- Red russet potatoes, boiled and mixed with butter and seasoning, served without gravy.

Seasonal Vegetables- Currently, a mixture of broccoli and cut carrots, steamed and seasoned.

Brownie- A fudge brownie, very thick and rich, with fudge icing and oreo cookie crumbles on top, baked locally and refrigerated, never frozen!

Cheesecake- A New York style cheesecake, served with whipped cream and strawberry sauce on top, also never frozen.

We sincerely hope that this has answered any and all questions you may have had on our food preparation.  If you have questions about anything else on our menu please contact us at feedback@arabian-nights.com and we will be happy to answer your questions!
