Earth Day is a good reminder to everyone how important it is to do our part in taking care of the environment. From using reusable bags when buying groceries, to gardening, every little bit counts. With that in mind, Arabian Nights is proud to say that we are partners in keeping our Earth beautiful.

With the hire of our new Landscape Specialist Rick Schick, we are making landscaping improvements to upgrade our plants and reduce our water waste. Rick is currently planting perennials and upgrading our annuals, along with planting a variety of other beautiful foliage. In addition to improving the décor of the exterior areas of our building, planting any type of plant life is great for the Earth in a number of ways. One of the most important things plants do is create oxygen; plants actually produce almost all of the oxygen in the air that we breathe.  Apart from that, plants support our ecosystems, help enrich and preserve soil, they contain chemicals used for medicine, as well as having a great aesthetic value. That’s just a few benefits of gardening!

In addition to the plant upgrades, Rick is also testing different ways for us to water the plants and soil while conserving water. In 2009, 45 states reported having ‘water-stress’ conditions, making this a very serious issue. We have to preserve our natural resources while we can so remember: it’s never too late to start conserving water!

These are just a few ways Arabian Nights is helping to preserve our environment and keep our Earth a beautiful green place, in addition to recycling. How are you contributing? Remember going ‘green’ can do more than just take care of the environment; it ‘s also a very cost efficient way of living.

Happy Earth Day from everyone at Arabian Nights!!

Earth Day: Doing Our Part to Preserve the Environment

At Arabian Nights we recognize our employees’ contributions to the success of our organization and it’s ranking as the #1 Dinner Attraction in the Orlando area.  Each month an employee is recognized for their hard work and dedication. Take a look at our most recent Employees of the Month.

The Arabian Nights management team has recognized Neil Lemoi, Allison Tolle, Ileana Albarron, and Zach Becker as Employee of the Month recently for their outstanding work ethic and contributions.

Neil Lemoi, our Night Security Guard, has been a part of the Arabian Nights family for eight years. Working at Arabian Nights really is in the family for Neal, he got his start here through his dad, who worked in several departments for the company.

Neil was chosen because of the pride he takes in his work as well as the fact that he is a pleasure to work with. “Neil is very vigilant in taking care of the building, patrolling neighboring lots, and monitoring and watering the horses at night. Neil is a great asset to this company,” says Stephen Zink, Facilities Director at Arabian Nights.

Allison Tolle is one of our Wardrobe Assistants at Arabian Nights and her organization, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor has not gone unnoticed.

Allison has been with us for a year and in that short amount of time she has made an impact on everyone, including her supervisor Ella Ovchinnikova who nominated her because of Allison’s “hard work and creativity on the job.”

Allison makes sure each performer has everything they need to look stunning on stage. She has even created a ‘Look Book’ for the performers, showcasing all elements of their wardrobe from makeup to every last article of clothing, in an effort to create consistency and efficiency in wardrobe changes.

Ileana Albarran has been with Arabian Nights for seven years, bringing her enthusiasm and cheer to the Sales Department as Sales Assistant. Ileana is known for her willingness to always go above and beyond what is expected, take initiative to get things done, and stay late for the team all without ever having to be asked.

“Ileana is the back bone of the sales department. She does an enormous amount of work, stays focused on the project at hand, sees it through to completion and she is a joy to work with,” says Paul Proly, Vice President of Sales.

Zach Becker is a face most of you, the guests, might recognize. Recently promoted from A-Rider to Core Performer, Zach has made his mark on our show and in the barn. Since his promotion, Zach has taken on giving riding lessons and helping visiting trainers teach the younger horses new skills.

Currently touring with the Black Stallion Literacy Foundation, Zach is performing and helping to promote literacy and the wonders of learning through live horses across the nation.

From everyone at Arabian Nights – Congratulations Neil, Allison, Ileana, and Zach!!
